Day 1 : Arrive Cochin
Pick from Cochin Airport / Rlystn. Transfer to Munnar, Halt at Tea County.
Day 2 : Munnar
Sightseeing. Halt at Munnar.
Munnar: Munnar is a small hill station. It is famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests, and tea estates. The quiet environs of Munnar attract the traveler to relax in the lap of Mother Nature. Munnar also beacons the adventure-seekers, who is interested in paragliding. National Adventure Foundation in Munnar conducts courses for paragliding. It has some of the highest tea estates in the world.
Trek and camp amidst the shola-grasslands of the Western Ghats at Munnar and among the thick evergreen canopy of the Periyar Tiger reserve. At Munnar the trek will take you camping at altitudes of over 7000 feet.
Day 3 :Transfer to Thekkady
Transfer to Thekkady, Sightseeing and halt at Aranya Nivas.
Thekkady: The drive to Thekkady itself is enchanting as the road winds through tranquil countryside, rich plantations and thick jungles. The sanctuary is, 60 kms from Idukki, 190 kms from Cochin, 130 kms from Madurai and 114 kms away from Kottayam and is open throughout the year, but the best season is from September to May. The sanctuary is centered around the large artificial lake formed by the dam across the Periyar river. The main attraction is a boat trip over an area of 26 sq. kms. in the man-made lake of Thekkady. The forest department would also provide elephant rides and trekking for 10 kms in the sanctuary.
Day 4 : Transfer to Kumarakom
Sightseeing and Halt at Waterscapes.
Kumarakom: An unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small water world you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic lake. The resorts nearby offer comfortable accomodation and exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation, boating, fishing, angling and swimming.
Day 5 : Transfer to Cochin / Kochi
Sightseeing and Halt. Bolgatty Palace.
Cochin: Kochi or Cochin, the commercial hub of Kerala, is a town of great historical importance. It has a fine natural harbour around which the city has grown. Kochi is the famous port, trading between India and the rest of the world. Attracted by trade and its liberal laws, many foreigners have made this their home. After the fall of Jerusalem, Jewish refugees sought sanctuary in this lush trading post.
Day 6 : Departure
Departure transfers Airport/Railway station.
